This Chicken Parm recipe is perfect for one and can be made in either the air fryer or the oven. Serve it with a side salad and a roll for a perfectly balanced meal. The dish features a breaded chicken breast topped with marinara sauce, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese, garnished with basil for added flavor.
Preheat the oven to 375F. If using an air fryer, skip this step.
Take a chicken breast and beat it until it’s about 1/2 centimeter thick. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Set aside and assemble the egg wash and panko coating.
Mix the panko bread crumbs, grated Parmesan, flour, and Italian seasonings to create the panko breading. Coat the chicken in the egg wash, then coat it in the panko mixture.
Drizzle the coated chicken with olive oil and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. If air frying, air fry at 350F for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown.
Remove from the oven and top with marinara sauce, shredded mozzarella, grated Parmesan, and more Italian seasoning. Bake again for 5-8 minutes or until the cheese starts to bubble.
Remove from the oven, garnish with more grated Parmesan, basil, and olive oil. Let it cool, and enjoy!
